Recc external mount for WD purple

I have a 1tb that I took out my now defunct dvr. Perfectly good drive. I'd like to mount it in an external USB mount box and use it for computer duty now, not security recording. Any recommendations on the mount box? Would love it to be usb powered rather than a power supply but not a big deal. Will the drive need to be reformatted for pc file usage? Thanks.

If it's a 3.5" HDD, it'll need 12VDC @ at least 1.5 Amp, won't get either from USB power alone. I usually format to NTFS for everyday file storage.

Actually to my surprise it's a Seagate barracuda drive that was pre-installed in the dvr before shipment all those years ago. I'm guessing it's a 3.5" and for sure an hhd- standard for dvr/ NVR's I believe.
