We saw the 2 movies with Tom Cruise and then started watching the series. We somehow watched season 3 before watching season 1 and 2. My wife and I have become big fans of this series. We just finished up season one last night and will start watching season 2 tonight. Does anyone know if they are planning a season 4?

I watched the series recently. I enjoyed it.

Seems like most series that you've got to make it through the first and second episode or maybe even the third one before things seem to jell as they introduce all the main players.

I couldn't even make it through the first episode.
Try what we did, watch season 3 first because most of the premise is laid out already. It was easier to grasp. Had we started in order with season 1, I don't know if we would be still watching or not. Season 2 is so far less interesting than Season 3 or 1 - those were both great seasons. Seemed like they rushed to put together season 2, though we are only 3 episodes in

I said the same thing about the Office to my wife. She just needed to get through Season 1 but, other than just not liking the vibe of Reacher, they lost me with these lines in episode 1.

"Shooter was someone who knows firearms well. Bullets were small caliber... 9mm, 95-grain. That's subsonic. A silencer was used."

95gr couldn't be any further from subsonic. 115gr is your typical ball round and is still not subsonic. You need to get near 147gr to be subsonic.

You're getting too deep into factual details. I'm critical in subjects that I know well too. Like when a chevy starts and drives away sounding like a Ford. I know an 80's to 90's Ford starter motor sound quite well - it's very distinctive

Have to get past the details to enjoy the show. It's Hollywood, it's all make-believe

He is supposed to be an expert in these things and, when being interrogated, goes into much detail about what happened, like he is a crime scene savant, but got something like that wrong, is what bothered me and turned me off.

It would be like Sheldon spouting off a bunch of information, just for the sake of saying big words and seeming smart, just to be wrong about simple facts.

I get it, but what percentage of the viewers will actually know about ballistics? I would venture not many. To each their own. My wife and I enjoy it together and it keeps me in her good graces when I happen to suddenly "find" a new camera

In trying to find the actual quote from the movie, I came across a lot of posts on forums and Reddit where this was being discussed. So, more than you would think.

Maybe, but definitely not the majority i would think

We love Reacher, but you have to have a sense of humor. It has a lot of "Eastwoodism's" in the dialog which we find humorous.

I like this line from season 3. "You shot the truck driver? I couldn't find any rope."

Filmed entertainment, is just that, entertainment and escapism, they are not intended for anyone to "learn" something from it.

I love the humor. Always a good one-liner or two in every episode
