Put some extra chicken that I grilled tonight out for the stray cats and the local raccoon got a little too nosy.
And somewhat lucky for the cat, too....I've known of more dogs and cats losing an eye to a 'coon than the other way around.Looks like the cat swatted the raccoon around the ear area instead of the eye . . . lucky for the raccoon.
Lord, the one big orange tom cat we had in GA when I was about 8 used to disappear for a week or more, come back home with one ear cut, jowl swollen, limping...he'd been fighting with another cat likely. There was one night however that our male came limping home all bloodied and beat up, one eye swollen, took him a few days to recover.
