Costco is selling a QSee 4k QCN8090B 16 cam package for 1,699 Costco Wholesale

That works out to $106/camera and the NVR is crap anyway.

I purchased one from Amazon for $164 to use with BI.

Not a ton of info all in one place so I figured I'd post here.

IP address is set to DHCP to start
log into the webserver via port 85 i.e. http://<YOUR CAM'S IP>:85

The feed is here:
rtsp://admin:<YOUR PWD>@<YOUR IP>:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0

You can change the encoding to H264 in the web GUI and turn of UPnP, Bonjour etc.

Hi. Newbie here. I just purchased this camera and trying to set it up with my PC but unable to. All the instructions it came with are of no help. Anywhere I can get info on installing and setting up on my PC?

I will be using a micro sd for recording.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Welcome Hman411,

This is a Dahua OEM camera which Q-see has changed some of the parameters.

The Dahua configuration tool probably will be useful, as well as other tools they have.
Software/Dahua Toolbox - Dahua Wiki

iirc the camera web server is on port 85 ( vs the standard 80 for http ). Try http://192.168.0.102:85/ for Q-see

I posted documents on numerous older Q-see related posts on SDs on it, you can search there for better notes on it.
For example see the notes in the wiki here:
Q-See outdoor 3MP HD Wi-Fi IP Bullet or Dome Camera + Free Shipping $80

Also note my first post in the following deal on SD, thanks to John Turner here on ipcamtalk:

How are you powering it? Did you buy a separate PoE injector?

I purchased a POE switch to power it up. Thanks guys.

Hi Hman411,

Let us know how well those instructions work out for you and if they need to be adjusted any.

Thanks

Will do.

Now how does the camera get assigned an IP address? And how do I find this address?

DHCP or a default IP.

For DHCP you have to look at the router or NVR or computer which is providing DHCP services.

If a default, try the IP address I noted above.
