Getting the hang of it
Both thanks alot for your excetionally fast and extended responses and help. I changed all my hik's to H264 and definitly see a improvement to my IQ in UI3 from BI, also 16mbit as "storage is cheap". Now a dedicated machine runs with 2x 18TB disks fro the first storage, and then its transferred to the nas. Most of the time i don't need to check >1 week old footage, so that most recent stuff is on local disks. And then longer term footage is on the NAS which originally ran BI in a VM and has plenty of storage for all my cams on 16mbit H264.
