PT - New Dahua Camera Category and Models

They should make a clear line in the sand between their pro gear and reolink garbage so that we don’t have to constantly field questions from newb consumers as to why their $100 “does everything” camera sucks
And sometimes I wonder about the true value difference between cameras.
Take the DH-IPC-HDW2531EMP-AS-S2 and the DH-IPC-HDW3666EMP-S, one has human/vehicle detection and the other doesn't. The 5MP version is part of the 'lite' series. It's only $30 cheaper (in NZD prices). Why bother making this 'lite' version without decent IVS when cheap Reolink can do it for a cheaper price again.

Yes, Dahua lacks this clear and distinct differentiation, and without the Imou subsidiary, it's even more necessary than before. Especially if Dahua once again wants to serve the Soho market with certain Dahua products. But I think that's partly due to the mentality of Chinese manufacturers, who always think they can and should come up with something new and somehow make everyone happy. As a result, an overview of the product portfolio and any possible differentiation between the products are often lost. Furthermore, Dahua also offers different products and product series in different regions around the world, which makes the whole thing even more opaque.

But who knows, maybe in a few months there will be a new Dahua subsidiary that will serve the Soho market with cheaper products, or will serve them with them. :)
