powerline question

That is the exact adapter that I have used at my house. I didn't use it for IP cameras, but for a wifi access point and getting internet to a satellite receiver. I did not have very good luck with it, but that could easily have been my home's electrical wiring. The AP would go offline often and I had to unplug the adapter and plug it back in essentially rebooting it. When streaming video from the internet on the satellite receiver, it rarely worked. I switched over to a deca and that fixed it.

For what it's worth, I've never tried a different model powerline adapter. I did try 3 of the same adapter though. Perhaps someone else on the forum can chime in with their positive experiences and the models they are using.

Real-world performance of powerline adapters is always well below the supposed max. A 200Mbps adapter might only give you 10-20mbps. Lots of variables.
