Possible to set a specific "folder view" in the smartclient from a web-application?

Anyone know if there is a way to send a command from a web-application to the smartclient to set it to a certain view?

ex:

In the web-application monitoring system one can "go to" a specific camera based on various alarms generated on that system, would it then be possible to kinda send this location to smartclient to set it to display the folder holding the cameras in that area ? (without having to search them out manually in smartclient). Any plugins or similar things that would support something like this ?. - or call it programmatically ?

I could be wrong, but I think in Milestone, in order to change the camera that appears in Milestone Smart Client tile rectangle, you have to utilize the 'Smart Wall' feature. I think Smart Wall content can be manipulated by things outside of the client viewing it.
