I was wondering, do most people let Blue Iris control the OSD, or do you use the OSD in the camera? (for date and time)

I am using direct-to-disk recording, and I lose the timestamp created by BlueIris. A simple solution would seem to be to disable BlueIris OSD and simply let the camera do it. Will this save on CPU load?

I think most folks use direct to disk and as you have noticed, there will be no osd unless you use the camera generated one. d2d just records the raw stream from the camera to your hard drive, no re-encoding, and yes this saves on CPU load greatly.

Using D2D definitely saves on CPU load, but does using the camera OSD instead of BlueIris help with CPU load?
