Would and Optiplex i5-8400 be a good choice for BI server vs the i7-6700. I’ve read several posts here but couldn’t determine if the 8400 was good or not. Tests show the 8400 is far superior in many ways than the 6700. But in the important ways I don’t know. Anyone using the 8400 for a server? I had ordered a 6700 from EBay but the seller canceled my order when I questioned them about some of the parts in the computer. Not having much luck buying things from EBay. The 8400 is being sold on Facebook. Not sure if they are any better. Thanks

The i5 8400 is better. Dont pay more than 150 though. Its a 5 year old machine and available on ebay all day long for 150. Also note the 8400 is normally a processor that is installed in home systems vs better built business machines that would have the 8500 as well as windows home vs pro.
