Hi all,

looking for some suggestions if possible, I have 2 IP cameras running wireless on network, they are monitored using ispy software which only records when i have laptop running.

What I am looking for is a better option, looked at getting a silent running pc but as a pc engineer not keen on hardware without a fan as over heating risk. I have a 1TB nas not doing much aprt from storage sitting on the network so there maybe a option there. not sure if i can get nas to run as a sever or look like a pc to the cameras

My only other thoughts are dvr/nvr but i want my cameras to remain wireless with fixed IP,s

Any suggestions would be great( cameras are DB power models with IR, and motion detection.

I doubt there is an nvr on the market that even works with those cams...it may be possible that the synology disk-stations do because some of their cams look like rebranded foscams (oh boy)... http://www.dbpowerofficial.com/outdoor-ip-camera.html
if you are going to stick with just two cams you may want to explore that route...
Otherwise i would go with a ultra slim pc, like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-EliteDes...1333857587?pt=Desktop_PCs&hash=item35dc928933
If you use ispy with alerts and remote access and are paying a monthly fee i would suggest using blue iris, as there is a one time upfront cost and you are done..
