Not receiving notifications on DMSS mobile app unless I set up SMD, is this normal?

I've set up IVS with line crossing and tried a few other settings but have turned off SMD settings. Notice that I no longer receive notifications on the mobile DMSS app although I have stipulated motion, A.I analysis Tripwire and Intrusion. Anyone find this and if so found a resolution?
 
I have the same problem on my NVR4216-4KS2/L.
SMD push notifications are working properly.
IVS is working and all events are recorded, but notifications are not coming to the phone.
DMSS without P2P, direct connection via VPN.
I think this is DMSS bug.
 
You need to enable IVS in smart plan for IVS rules to work on the camera/NVR.

and in DMSS app you need to subscribe to IVS rules.
This is in device settings. You can select which cameras you want notifications from.

Do you have 'disarming' turned on or timing period incorrectly set?
Disarming is for TiOC cameras, but stops notifications when disarming is turned on. Timing period is when you want the DMSS app to give a notification.

DMSS Multi-channel alarm subscription enabled for Intrusion and Tripwire for that channel.
IVS is working and all events are recorded, but notifications are not coming to the phone . Testing on 3 cameras.
SMD notifications work properly.
 
@Mark_M - are my settings correct? any other ideas? what else should I check?
Almost... you've turned off notifications here.
I've found on my NVR that disarming doesn't affect SMD, but does affect IVS.
