Newbie question about some settings

Hi guys, I am new to NVR's and I was wondering if I can get some input on something.

I have Dahua camerad directly connected to Dahua NVR. When I setup IVS via NVR's user interface, is actually using camera for processing (making changes to camera setting) or is all the processing done by NVR thus taking recourses from it. Is it the best practice to set up all AI in the camera since it has it already?

It is best to setup those things in the camera itself. Use the NVR for the recording and alerts, but set up motion detection, parameters, etc. all in the camera.
