New remote program update

I use the remote app. A couple of weeks ago, it was updated and displays:

Update Blue Iris

Please update the Blue Iris
software on your PC. Certain
functions may not behave
properly until you do so.

at startup.

I am currently running BI 5.2.6.5. Is the update to 5.3.8.17 a free update?

OR, is there a way to drop back to the previous version of the remote program? The new one is 3.0.18.
It's quirky and freezes up and I have to close it and start over quite often, I'm sure because of the need to update my PC software.

You can only get the Blue Iris updates if you are within a year of purchase or have renewed for like $30.

Thanks for replying.
I found the link (Blue Iris 2.0.71 Apk + Mod for Android), but it gives me a "App not installed" error.
I've turned off automatic updates, but a little too late I guess.
