Hello All,
This Post has been a long time in the works and i finally have some time to start it tonight. I actually started the planning for this install in 2016. The skinny is this is a Large Government facility that has many buildings and I have been given the task of doing security systems. This will be the 5th in a series of buildings I have done and there is no end in sight. I can not disclose the nature of the facility but a security system was a long time coming. This will be a long post as time permits.
After meeting with the Buildings directors, getting building plans, checking on local codes we were looking at a 16 camera system for this site. I bet I had just 5 to 8 hours just doing walk arounds, checking out their network ...OUCH

It was finally time to do some camera reconnaissance. This is a few shots of myself on a man lift with a few cams, a laptop going around the building taking shots. I like to show the people what the locations are BEFORE I mount them, that way I will cover my butt if they say..um well that ain't right.

The Man lift has a Generator so it makes my life easy, as you can see my tote has a poe injector, cables and a laptop running SmartPss. When I was done with the outside, I did the same inside with a ladder and a helper.
Once the locations are agreed to, its time to Scout out how and where NVR, cabling, and displays will be mounted. I lucked out on the location, i found a closet right next to the Directors office.

I had to have power run to the wall, you can see the quad on the wall i had installed. My goal was to keep everything in this room and put a hole in the wall and run the mouse and video through the wall to a desk he had on the other side of the wall. After 2800' of cat 6 cabling was run it was time to get busy.
Ahh Good The rack is here.

A little plywood backing was installed before I mounted the rack.
All the cameras and NVR arrived too.

Installing the hardrives Three 6 TB purples

Burning In Time Dahua 4xxx 16 channel poe

The NVR and cams are all Dahua rebranded OEM .
Time to start throwing them up. Most time I usually try to mount them direct, depends on the wall, this time I just used a typical metal box, drill out the covers ..It works. I have never had to buy a dahua mounting box.

Direct Mount and needed to do a little conduit on this one.
My Mobile Setup.
All the inside and outside done, Just have tidy up the rack, I drilled a hole in the wall and ran the Mouse, and Hdmi video cable through the wall to the 40" Tv, the Director can do everything from his room and does not have to hear the noise.
