When using a machine with an SSD and single hard disk, I believe the recommended practice is for both NEW and STORED to be on the hard disk. In this situation, is there any point in having both NEW and STORED? Looks to me like it's useless overhead to copy from one directory to another.

I don't use the stored Folder. It is set to 0GB and delete. I don't see a reason to have it, just expand the new folder if needed and if you have the space.

That is correct. Set STORED to 0GB.

Only use STORED if it is going outside of the computer box to like a NAS.
