Hello Everyone,
New member here but happy to become a part of the community.
I am the founder of a new tech start up called Atmosphere. We are a bar hopping app (available on the iPhone app store now
). To summarize quickly, we install HikVision 2CD2432F-IW 3MP Indoor IR Wifi Cube Camera 2.8mm Wifi IP cameras in bars and clubs which then post short video clips to the app so people can see which bars are crowded or not.
Our cameras use wifi hotspots to connect to the internet so keeping data usage down is a key concern.
My problem/question is around our video quality and motion blur problems: When the bar is empty, the picture comes in clear as a whistle. However, when people start showing up, the picture quality tanks pretty significantly.
We have been using a low bit rate of 320 to conserve on data, but have recently cranked it up to 640-900 range due to users and bar owners complaining about the low quality videos. Our data usage essentially doubled and the quality of the image is better but there is still a significant amount of motion blur.
I was wondering if there was any other setting I could adjust to improve our picture quality?

Can the camera adjust the bitrate and other settings automatically or if could set it change bitrate on a predetermined schedule?
Any insight or advice you can provide would be great!
