A couple of questions about Blue Iris Release 5.9.52 x64 (5/13/2025) DEMO
I know google is your friend, but.
1. Every YouTube video is seen only has only 2 sliders not the 4 that I have shown below.
2. I saw a lot of videos where the window next to the sliders, I see IP Cam video behind the Sensing Blocks.
How do I get that to display?

HELP

Thanks - Mike

Read the HELP/Notes. Not helping much when I can't figure out the combination to get "Testing & Tuning" to turn on Motion Detection/View Blocks. I will seem to get it work for a fast minute, then it will stop working and then
everything is greyed Out!!!

Below is what I'm having a hard time setting-up to get the pixels and square to show. Particularly when people and a car are not setting of any Blue Ires triggers or alarms when they drive down my share driveway. My old NVR would detect/alarm when Cars and people walk down said driveway. I'm trying to eliminate NVR and use Blue Iris only.

I too would like to know what it takes to enable "Analyze with motion sensor" inside "Testing & Tuning". I do not use AI and I would like to fine tune my motion detection parameters because a person crossed the sidewalk and rang my door and Blue Iris did not trigger. With said option, I thought I could debug the actual scene.

This camera group is actually being picked up from an old 4-channel DVR, with BI doing the motion detection. It's working with default parameters, but in this camera in particular it needs adjusting because it's picking up few things (this camera is up high in a pole).

I believe I have figured out a lot of my questions from above. The motion sensor Tab/Window no longer displays a picture. I’m pretty sure it only works with a older version of Blue Iris with just two adjustments showing, Min. object size and Min. contrast size will display a picture that I have seen on YouTube videos.

On the version I have "The black window will play an animation to illustrate these concepts" If you have an "Alert" playing on a loop, move your mouse over to the small live video playing under Alerts. Left click on it to open camera settings and go to the "Motion sensor" tab. Play with the slider and you will see the square, line etc.. will change when you move the slider.

What you need to do is create a test/walk video with the settings tentatively set so it will set an Alert. Unfortunately, I have not found said setting yet that it will trigger somebody walking down my shared driveway... The video link above talks how you can change/save your Trigger settings and it does, change the highlight and rectangles on the Looped Alert video. Good Luck
