I'm searching for an affordable smaller or hidden camera with a few features, one being motion activated to alert and start recording. I have viewed some cameras I like which are affordable but not always motion activated. Therefore, I was thinking and I think I recall reading somewhere before, but uncertain. Does it matter if the "camera" is motion activated as long as the viewing software has motion activated/detection capabilities or is it truly necessary for the camera to have the MA feature in order to use the feature in a viewing software?
