More secure port fowarding

Whitelisting source IP addresses can work OK if they’re static, but most source IP addresses are not static, especially when on a phone that’s using it’s data plan.

Unusual for an app/system not to work over a VPN.

Sorry, I should have provided more details. The "system" is ipcamlive.com which a friend currently uses and it requires port forwarding. The ipcamlive website says they can provide an IP address to whitelist in a firewall. It seems to me that the firewall should be in the router, but perhaps not. That's why I asked about Asus Source Target.

Sounds like after you get ipcamlive to restrict the account to just one of their servers, you’d enter that server’s IP into the ASUS Source Target area so that it would be the only IP the router would port forward for.
