Mini nvr

So I tried 2 different hard drives on the mini nvr.mini nvr says "hdd failed" is there a way to format or add the hdd in settings? Also is it possible to turn off that beeping sound? I'm using a molex to sata power adaptor along with sata to esata data plug.

Well hdd I bought from ebAy(500gb $20) works with the mini nvr now.i have the hdd powered with a molex to sata adaptor that is connected to a molex wall adaptor.using sata to esata cable from hdd to nvr unit.i only tried it for about 20 mins.didnt like the playback feature on the app(android tablet)seems easier on hik app to playback video right away.huisun v2 10x ptz controls work within the nvr and android app.goolink is the app.not bad for $51.cam was added in like 3 mins
