Meteor From 11/5/2021 Am

Can one set-up the camera so it will record fireballs automatically
to the sd card? I am not versed enough.

Nice! I like big sky views. Reminds me of the meteor I recorded in 2018. I am not sure what is luckier, the fact that it triggered BI motion detection to record it, or the fact I noticed it in the clip list.

That is one of Andy's Color4K-X cams? How did you configure its exposure and whatnot?

I don't think so. Fireballs would be relatively easy for a computer to identify (fast moving white dot, usually very small), but security cameras are not designed for that. In fact the more advanced the motion detector was, the more likely it would be to reject a fireball as meaningless noise. Astronomers likely have specialized software for this, but it certainly won't run on a typical IP camera. You'd need a separate computer to process the video.

Yes it is one of Andy's 4k-X cams. Pretty much default. The cam has to be adjusted for the
monitor one is using. This is adjusted on a 65 inch Qled so that the dimmest stars twinkle.
I need a filter to kill some of the blue sky as well as a gradient type filter to remove back scatter
from a local city. Shutter was @ 15

exposure, outdoor, manual shutter 1/15..
I hope you know what I mean...

Do you need the valves set on a Ferrari, Fiat, Jensen Healey? How about a trans or front-end rebuild?
I did Webers too. I am learning as fast as my feeble mind will allow.

The people here are wonderful!
