It will depend on various factors. With the new hardware acceleration it could be done on a haswell/skylake i7 if you limit frame rates to 10-15.I know that it technically can handle 64 cameras but I dont believe there is any computer that can run that amount. i am trying to setup a 30 camera system . Is there any computer that can run 30 cameras at 1080?
i am running a skylake i7 with 23 cameras at 15fps and it is bombing out too often at cpu 100%. I am going to have to switch to ivms if i can ever figure out how to set it up.
what about all the other questions posed.12 gb of memory which it never comes close to using. in motion although it is a daycare which during the day and when i have the problem it is basically continuous record.
Something is not adding up...what is the cpu load at night?yes direct to disk. i7 6700k (which cost me a fortune). i haveto check about the hardware acceleration
something is still not right with those numbers. What cams are you using?paid version at at night it drops down into the 40s at most very often even lower .only have about 3 cameras recording then
install and run hardware acceleration. Confirm that you have set direct to disk for EACH camera. You can also reduce the live preview rate to 10fpshikvision 2.1mp
