Lost Fluent mode

Hi,
I've got an hikvision DS-7804N-E1/4P NVR with one camera attached an DS-2CD2132F-IS

Have been running the iVMS-4500 software on my iphone and it worked great for a little while. Now it seems I've lost fluent mode as its greyed out, Clear mode works fine. Any ideas?

A side question. What does alarm type N.C and N.O mean?

Thanks for the answer on the alarm type.
About the substream. Under local configuration I have Stream type set to Mainstream and Rules Enable.
Under Camera settings/ Video settings, Video type is Main Stream (normal)
Does those settings seem correct to you?
 
After more playing around with Main Stream and Sub Stream I found that you need to reboot the NVR put the change in affect. Can anyone tell me what local configuration and remote configuration means?
