Hi All

First post here please let me know if I got the wrong section to post this question.

I am looking for a dome camera like the
AXIS P3363-VE; but not as expensive as that one (as I will need to buy 6 in total). Hopefully I can get something okay (that won't give me headaches) in the $250~300 range each. Not sure the requirements below are realistic for this price range but trying to find something that would suit my needs and budget.

The requirements is a dome POE so I can put in the outside walls of the house. It needs to operate in cold weather (-40F), have IR for night operation, and needs to be
zoneminder-friendly. Vandal-resistent is also a desired feature. Zoom is not really needed but nice to have. Also 720p should do the job (no need for 1080p).

Thank you so much

Try looking at the ACTi line of domes; I have the E82 and E72 for the exact same reason (need to survive a brutally cold Canadian winter -40C/-40F). And they don't require a built in heater so their size isn't larger than it needs to be (for my residence).

They're around the price point or slightly higher than what you mention; Come with a 3 year warranty too.

Check http://www.networkcameracritic.com/ for various model reviews....

Yes it is; The E82 is still pretty new. http://www.acti.com/product/detail/Dome_Camera/E82

I use Blue Iris, so I can't comment on Zoneminder.

I purchase my ACTi products through Cendirect.com (located in Quebec). They normally don't stock products on hand, and will order directly from ACTi. This may take 2-3 weeks to get an order fulfilled (which isn't the best), BUT, they have really good pricing.
