Login Password Help

I have been given a 4 channel DVR. On the bottom the sticker has
MAX-PLEX4H
FW/V: 3.3.0.P

The previous owner does not remember the password. I have tried admin & Admin for the login name and 123456 for the password and many other combinations. None will get me pass the login screen.

What is the default password for this model?

Also, what is the login and password for a Telnet session? I have tried root and xc3511 but it does not work.

I just tried it and it does not work. Tried 1 to 0 in small increments and reversed. Thanks for the suggestion.

The CMOS battery is soldered in so I cannot erase any saved settings. I may be in the same situation even if I could clear it.

Too bad there is not password hint or some way to reset it from the login screen.

Well if the previous owner changed the password and you haven't factory defaulted the NVR, then the default password will not work.

That likely wouldn't do it anyway.
Since you are looking at the board, any solder pads, likely near the battery, with no components soldered in them or points labeled like TP1, TP2 or J1, J2, etc. ?
Look for an obvious place to jumper for reset when power applied; may even have pins so a shunt (shorting) clip could be be slipped on.
