As a new convert to the sub-stream craze (my CPU went from 60+ to 15-ish) I'm still trying to wrap my head around how it's all supposed to work.
When I'm in a group view (all cameras) the composite cameras are all sub-stream. That's ok. When I click on a camera, it comes up full screen, and for about 1-2 seconds I see the sub-stream, and then it quickly transitions to the main-stream full quality. That also works as expected on the live views.
However, when I go to play any clip within UI3, it gets stuck playing back only the sub-stream. I know the recorded clip is full (direct-to-disc) quality - as I can play it back within the BI console that way. But in UI3 I see only the sub-stream.
What am I missing?
