Line Crossing Detection

Hi there, hoping someone can help. I have DS-7608NI-K2 / 8P with a DS-2CD2545FWD-IS. I have had line crossing detection set up and working great for two weeks. Today however is has only activated once. Even though several people have been at the door. Does anyone have any pointers. Thanks

Did your system or camera restart recently? You can also try adjusting the sensitivity.

No I don’t think so. I’ve done some testing today and it looks like the line may be at the wrong angle to pick up every person who comes to the door.

I would utilize intrusion detection and set the threshold at zero for this application

HI @colliaa

FYI - camera is too high to get a good chance at a facial ID image... try to drop the camera lower..

Ideally I like 2 cameras at the door.. one at face level, and one watching for package drops

Ok thanks. I’ll have a look at that. I just though line crossing would be useful as I could set it only to pick up people coming into the house and not us leaving.

Try zig zag line rather than one straight line.
