Is this desktop a good choice to run BI for my setup?

Hi All,

I read through the BI HW guide Choosing Hardware for Blue Iris and based on the more limited availability in Canada right now, am looking at the attached system.

I'll be running 4x 4k cameras and 1x 2k. I don't expect I'll be adding more than 1-2 more down the road.

Would these specs be sufficient or do I need more CPU HP or ram? I plan to use the SSD for OS and get likely a 3TB HD for storage.

A member here was running 50 cameras on a 4th generation at 30% CPU.

This unit is more than capable. Probably a little more expensive than those in the US see, so you have to decide if that price point is reasonable. But that aside, the unit will perform.

I would recommend adding more RAM to it.

And follow every optimization in the wiki and you will be fine.
