Is there something wrong with this camera?

Please see the side picture, sometimes during sunshine the picture looks awful. Is the camera at fault? I tried resetting the camera with no change.
The front picture pointed almost at the same place has no issues. Bad camera?

Thanks

I noticed that as well on one of the cams I have (Longse) when we started getting sunshine in PNW, also tried resetting and playing with different settings. Not sure what's the deal on that yet.

one is looking at a big shaded area with objects in distance overexposed.. the other has more balanced lighting.

need WDR or BLC for the environments such as your driveway that have both very bright and very dim objects in the same frame.. right now its doing auto exposure based upon the average.

OK, I will try those options in the daytime.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't think the side camera looks as good as the others (even when it's not sunny)
I thought WDR was only for night time...

Thanks!

it's hard to get a decent image when the camera is in direct sunlight and the subject/area is not.

eg: looking west as sun is setting with a hik 2032:

you can shade the cam somehow, or fiddle with WDR/BLC settings...

now that i look at yours again, you've got the opposite issue:
cam in the shade and the stuff in the background is super bright.

yea, wdr/blc, maybe...

WDR is only for daytime.. it just makes detail worse at night..

the lighting between the two cameras is vastly different, that big asphalt driveway is going to impact its light gathering capabilities.

here is an example of WDR in action.. see the over exposed sky and the under exposed celling go away with its use.

A better camera may give better dynamic range, it's hard to say in this light. BLC/HLC/WDR may work if the camera supports it.

You may also consider moving the camera (say 20ft left) if possible where it's not pointing at the sun.

WDR doesn't seem to have any effect.
Changing BLC to Up or Right seems to work.

Thanks for all the responses.
