It wasn't when I posted this but since the last update which included native Google Assistant it started to work for me. Glad things are moving along

I had a similar issue with my Galaxy Watch 4, and after the last update, it started working again. You might want to double-check notification settings on both the watch and phone, just in case something reset during the upgrade.
