Hello,

I am trying to compare IPC-HDW5241T-ZE and IPC-HDW3241T0ZS-S2 cameras, both of which are 2MP and varifocal. One of the difference between them is that the former offers 'Iris Control' as Auto while the latter does not. Anybody knows what does that mean and if it makes 5241 a much better camera?

I think as it sounds, the Auto Iris will adjust to lighting conditions, the Fixed will not.

Regardless, there's no real choice here. The 5241 will kick the other camera's ass all day (and night) long. The S3 guts in the 5241 are the latest and the min illumination shows this.

Do you recommend to keep Auto Iris turned on? Or does this introduce blur?

Yes. And no generally speaking it’s not going to be the root of any blur, more exposure and DNR settings are the culprit
