Getting the hang of it

Just installed this camera and the image is broken. The timestamp on the image jumps back and forth randomly, some objects freeze while other moves.
When I open the RSTP stream with (rtsp://admin:password@192.168.1.77:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0
I see image like below:

tried to change to H.264 codec and getting slightly different picture, still broken:

I have latest firmware (V2.800.0000000.2.R, Build Date: 2019-04-04)
Purchased it from Andy. Is this a broken camera? Any ideas?

The camera is fine What are you using to view the camera?

I tried SmartPSS, SynologySurveillanceStationClient, MPC-HC.
Here is an exmaple of footage.
Note how the time jumps on the timestamp.
And car freezes for several seconds.

I do not observe the same with my other camera, which works fine.

Take the camera down and test with a short premade cable.

Already tried with a premade cable (not short though) and power hooked up directly - the same issue. Will try to test on a short cable tomorrow.

To confirm, i mean a cable crimped at the factory, not one you crimped. This looks like a connection/packet loss issue.

Yes, I used a factory-made patch cord. It also looked to me as connection issue, so I tested it with another cable.
I wonder if this could be bad internal cabling.

Moved the camera today and the problem is back. Tested with short patch-cord cable and the same problem
Looks like internal connection is bad.

here is a ping to the camera when live view is on.
13% packet loss

Yes, I simply took the router outside and hooked up with a laptop.
I've done networks in the past, all obvious things already checked.
And the problem is intermittent. Already spent like 5 hours scratching my head.
Will exchange the camera.

Installed the replacement camera and similar issues.
I'm out of ideas... could this be a POE switch? Only the switch is between the camera and Synology NAS I've recorded this with. The model is TP-Link TL-SG108PE V2

You said you bypassed the switch

That was with other camera I returned.
I now changed the settings in the Synology NAS to use TCP instead of Auto.
Will see if it helps.
Any other ideas appreciated.
