IP Camera - Send email via gmail

Hello,

My setup:

• Hikvision IP camera connected to NVR internal network IPv4 POE card (NIC)
• NVR is connected to LAN (switch) with ip addresss: 192.168.1.1xx
• IP camera - disabled DHCP with IP address: 192.168.254.xxx

I try to setup email to have sreenshots on events and I get the error message: "The network gateway is not configured, and this may cause the failure of email sending. "

Problem is that I cannot setup anything on camera NETWORK -> BASIC SETTINGS -> IPv4 Default Gateway - when i save and reboot the ip camera the field is empty.

Can someone help me out?

The virtual host feature of the POE NVR places the cams on a private server / different subnet to keep them OFF the Internet so they have no access. Forum member @alastairstevenson worked on this issue in another post ==>> Hikvision cameras unable to send notification email

With my first NVR 7608NXI 1st gen the send email was configured and worked just fine---- now with 7608NXI 3th generation I cannot do that?!

As i mentioned - after enter an ip address in the gateway field - a restart is required and after that the field is blank

I would set a DHCP Static map for it to get the desired IP, then just set it to DHCP to "fix" the problem, at least so you can get email setup and then mess with it later. $10 says if you get email setup, you can change the network config without breaking it
