iNMS-4200 PCNVR

I have the first camera working, I downloaded iNMS-4200 PCNVR and I can view camera from pc.

I am trying to record to a 1TB hard drive, in "Configurations I check the hard drive to record to, pre-allociate and on the selected hard drive I get a folder named "_NVR_DIR"
and in that folder are folders "Package000", Access Test, AllocFiles.des IN "Package000" folder are 20 video files 262144 KB size
named Rec000 to Rec3720. It looks like it's recording but when I go to Playback there is nothing to play.The software tells me it's recording.

If I go back to hard drive selection it is not checked. What am I doing wrong?

I'm just new to PCNVR but it looks like PCNVR pre-fills the disk with files when it pre-allocates the storage on the drive. PCNVR then overwrites those files with real footage. I also found that PCNVR doesn't seem to support H.265 video.
