On a lark, I purchased this PTZ camera:

http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/c0FCBpeo

I cannot get it configured/to work to save my life. I can go direct to the IP address from my Mac and can log in, but cannot change the settings, and it will not automatically/manually mount when I connect to my Hik 7600 series NVR.

Wondering if I got a lemon or if there's some other step I'm missing.

Has anyone else been able to get this camera working?

I'm somewhat of a noob to IP camera systems so any help is appreciated.

thx.

Jim

You need to use IE.

I had the same head scratching moment last week and had t blow the dust off my Windows machine.

The cam is just sooooo good.

Sent from my crappy windows machine using fingers.

Free Virtual Machine Software for OSX: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads

No registration needed, just download both.. install VirturalBox and then unzip and double click on the VM File to import it and fire it up.

beware: AutoTrack is only a gimmic, many have tried but few actually leave it enabled.

if your an OSX user and you buy cameras on a Lark, then be prepared to jump through hoops.. really only Hikvision and Dahua have any tangible OSX Support, Dahua slightly more.. for some reasons unknown to me, all the cheap-o cameras require ActiveX to do basic configuration.. and it sucks for us non Windows users.

K - I dusted off an old PC and got their software to work. The issue is - making it work with my Hikvision 7600 series NVR. I cannot get it to connect and I've changed just about all of the settings at some point or another (albeit not very scientifically I admit).

To be the redundant man of redundancy (for clarity): I can go to the IP address and access the camera and view/control it from the IP address. When I plug the camera into my NVR, it does not add the camera (thus I cannot record).

Does anyone know the settings to make this camera work with the Hikvision NVR?

I'm using Onvif protocol.

Sorry pal, I use a Synology NAS for my cams.

Im surprised it doesn't work as it works with the Hik software SADP etc.

Doing it now, wish me luck!

Nayr, tried to PM you..

I have it installed and it worked once but after a restarted it, no wireless networks are found as the adapter is not there. Only the wired adapter.

plug it into the wired network then..

thanks then..
