please assist on this; I have been posting and no one responded, please help.

i have 8ip camera installed, 16port poe switch and 16channel NVR, all working fine but when the switch is connected to a network (sisco switch) all the image displaying on the monitor screen flicks off every 40seconds and comes up after 3seconds.

when the network cable is removed everything becomes normal, please kindly help what could be the problem and how do i solve this problem.

your response will be appreciated.
 
did you create a loop? or is that 16 port PoE switch isolated?
 
The only loop or link between the sisco switch(Gigabites switch) and the 16 port poe switch is the (crossover) network link cable, once this cable is removed everything becomes normal but once connected the images flick every 40sec. and comes up again after 3sec.....i realy need your cos the client want it connected to their network.
 
Cisco; not sisco.. and crossover cables should not be in use.

the Cisco is not connected to any other networks or switches?

Try adding the cameras w/TCP instead of UDP?
