Is it just me but should this whole discussion be based around whether the cameras are located inside a residence or external to the residence. If external, who gives a shit if the SD cards are stolen; of what value could they be to undesirables. Yes, there is a nuisance factor but all this talk about encryption, pleaseeeeeeee.
I say for internal cameras, leave them as they are because if changed, we'll no longer have access to sex tapes, is that what you really want.
