Good morning,

I do have two components:
  • DS-KH8520 indoor station
  • DS-2CD2T86G2 camera

Q: How can I show the live image of the camera on the indoor station when an event (intrusion, line crossing, ...) is detected on the cam?

Live views of the cameras on demand work on the indoor station, so this is set up correctly. But e.g. I want to see a the live feed of the camera when a car enters the driveway.

Thanks!

Log into the Indoor station, Go to Configuration, Alarm settings, then ensure that Receive alarm message is enabled. Then need to log into the camera. Make sure that for your event on the VCA under Linkage that you have Notify Alarm Center? Or something like that.. Geez have to log into a camera because I forgot what the option is lol. "Notify Surveillance Center" is enabled.. Then test it out and see if it pops up?

Thank you! I`ve enabled "Notify Alarm Center" on the indoor station but what I'm not sure about:
  • do I have to set the IP of the "Alarm Station" somewhere? My Indoor Station is my Alarm Station then? How do the cameras know to which IP the notification should be forwarded, in this case my main indoor station?
  • In the indoor station, do I have to configure these alarm zones? Because there only 7 zone types are supported: Emergency Switch, Door Magnetic Switch, Smoke Detector, Active IR Detector, Passive IR Detector, Gas Detector, and DoorBell Switch. Or this is the wrong part I'm looking at?

How to Configure the Camera to Send Events to the Indoor Station

  1. Log in to the Camera (via Web Interface).
  2. Navigate to Configuration > Network > Advanced Settings > Alarm Host.
  3. Set:
    • Alarm Host IP: Enter the IP address of your DS-KH8520 Indoor Station.
    • Alarm Host Port: Use 65000 (default Hikvision event port).
  4. Click Save.

Now, the camera will forward event notifications to the indoor station.

Enable Alarm Notifications on the Indoor Station

  1. Log in to the DS-KH8520 Indoor Station (Web Interface or Local Interface).
  2. Go to Configuration > Alarm Settings.
  3. Enable Receive Alarm Messages.
  4. Make sure Notify Surveillance Center is checked.

If you don't see any events check the cameras logs and see if they are being sent to the server? I think you will need to Micro SD card to check logs.. Not sure as I can't remember all devices that I own what ones require and what ones don't lol.. I think Hikvision require Micro SD for logs..

Unfortunately, this is not available on my camera, there's no "advanced settings" in the Network section. What I do have is this under Configuration > Event > Alarm Setting

If this is not it, this would be available under "Platform Access", if this is related to my problem:

No that is not it either hummm.. Maybe it is in your VCA or alarm area for your camera? Can I see what your Trigger are for an Event is. Not your video but the page for lets say if you are using Tripwire, then the trigger area for that. Maybe they tucked it in there?

Intersting.. Maybe log into the Indoor Station and go to Settings, Alarm Settings and Alarm Input and see if there is an option to add in a IP camera? as an option? Your camera is much newer then ones I have dealt with so it is strange that it is an option that isn't on your camera.. Or it is just hidden in some part of the UI.. Some times it drives me nuts how far you have to go to find things sometimes lol. The ISUP isn't it that is an Encryption type Cloud service system.. Forget what it is called right now, Brain not working to well tonight.. Might need a NVR or Alarm Hub to act as a Bridge?

OK little different but maybe this is the route..

On Indoor unit go to Settings, Network Configuration, and Network camera.
Then Manually setup your camera.
Tap Add camera, Then enter IP address user and Password. You will want to make sure that ONVIF and RTSP is enabled on your camera..
Then in the trigger setup your type of alarm to trigger motion or Intrusion etc.. Then set Alarm Linkage to Trigger the alert.

Now go to Settings, Alarm settings Alarm input and check if the camera is now listed. If it is enable the Alarm Linkage and setup for Push if you are setup for that..

How this thing is there should be some type of Video about different ways to setup the indoor station with IP cameras..

I will try and find a video for this if I find one I will post or edit and post to it..

I'm afraid this is all not present on my device. There's no kind of trigger setup in the indoor station's settings when adding a device. There's also no alarm settings in the menu apart from setting zone alarms like gas, infrared and so on. Nothing related to the cams. It's really cumbersome that Hik seems to do it differently with every model they release.
