How to restrict new folder?

I am trying to restrict the new folder to one day, Then move to stored folder second hard drive. I can't seem to get it right. Normally wind-up with the red over allocated. On the new folder.

You have over allocated space. As noted you should limit by space not by days. Makes no sense to limit by days. Also you are better off directly storing to the second drive instead of all this moving.

ok, thanks. I thought it better to have New folder on the fastest or C hard drive. That makes it easy.

The general rule of thumb is to do all BI storage based upon size. It causes less allocation problems.

The size of storage will change from day to day, so if you want a days storage you are going to have to over allocate space.

Look at the status (three virtual bar) button, clip storage tab. If there is any red visible, you have an allocation problem.

I have all my video stored in a single (new) folder on a single 4 TB disk drive. This way you are not wasting cpu time moving files between physical devices.

keep the database folder on the fast drive.
