Click to expand... Kerosene actually works faster on tar. Doesn't evaporate as quickly as gasoline.

For sure it's less volatile, it's less refined so a bit oilier to get under the tar like a surfactant; and it has a much higher flash point so it's safer BUT..... not as many people have a can of kerosene in their garage as do have gasoline.
