I had posted a different thread, but this is a specific camera question. I've tried several solutions including reolink Omvi 3i (actually worked pretty well, but lost auto tracking a half dozen times per 30 minute ride) and tried EmpireTech PTZ3E10X-T180 (horrendous auto tracking). right now I have a couple of reolink cx810 1/1.8" bullet cams and using some fancy software to yolo detect the rider and digitally follow and crop. But, if there is a Pano + PTZ camera that actually does excellent auto tracking, then I would prefer that. Will the PTZ4E25X-T180 work well for tracking horse/rider for 30 minutes?

Here is the scene with raw bullet cams...

Most PTZs will drop/lose track with a target if it stops even briefly. Of course you could with enough spotters re-acquire fairly easily once movement occurs

Most under about $1600-$2000 or so are toys IMHO

Haven't seen a review on either of those, not commonly bought cameras, or at least not commonly talked about here

Sadly the panoramic has been shown to not do very well triggering outside the middle third of the image. And it will never track 30min.

Wouldn't the panoramic camera in the 3-in-1 work as "two" spotter cams?

In theory, but only upon enough movement to trigger.

As mentioned above, I’m not sure of their accuracy as I haven’t tested it or seen them tested extensively
