Hilook NVR-104MH-C/4P - add a fan

Hi Guys

I have a new NVR as above - it has a DS-80314 Board in it. It has no fan for the case and it gets a bit spicy in the case once the hard drive is operating. Has anyone retrofitted a fan to one of these? Space if there for a 40x10 or slightly larger depth but no fan header is present. I assume the connector on the board JP13 is where the fan header should be.. but dont really want to go soldering a connector on unless its likely to work :) any thoughts?

No experience with your NVR model, but I’d recommend getting Noctua fans as they are really quiet if noise is a consideration. Not cheap at $14 a piece on Amazon... It’s probably easier to run the fan off the hard drive cables
 
I grabbed some sunon 40x10s as thats all that will fit. I've spliced into the 12v hdd line and added 2 fan plugs. I have also put some speed reducers in line to quiten them down a touch as there are 2.. not very quiet but i'd rather that than the HDD getting to 60+
