Hikvison IP Camera Alarm Output Door Chime

Okay so I purchased a 12vdc door chime to work with my Hikvision IP Camera. I have a infrared sensor already that I use for line crossing emails and now I would like for audible notification within my house when someone breaks the beam. I have connected the door chime to a 12v power supply and the two alarm outputs to the door chime's other two wires to signal the chime to sound. With the power connected the door chime sounds when the two wires (green & yellow) are touched together. Which leads me to believe that the alarm output from the camera would complete the circuit once activated. I can manual make the door chime sound through IVMS-4500 and through the cameras web interface, but it does not sound after a alarm input. What am I doing wrong here guys? Is it settings? Or am I way off here?
