Hikvision just released firmware version 4.21 for its I-series NVR's (which I own). One of the new features allows whitelisting/blacklisting access by IP address or mac address. See attached portion of the release notes.
Given all the various security issues with port forwarding, the HikConnect app, etc., do you guys see this update as offering a new layer of protection for a home NVR setup?
