Hikvision Line Crossing Detection Options

Guys I'm looking for advice on trying to cut down on false line crossing detection from my Hikvision camera I have monitoring my driveway. I like getting notifications that when someone comes up my driveway I get a email notification with snapshots, however I receive more false notifications than I would like due to shadows from clouds and trees. What I'm wanting to do is either install a Weatherproof Outdoor Passive Infrared Motion Detector or a light curtain between my two bricked driveway columns. What would you recommend?
