If it's ONVIF compatible, you might. The image below allows for the usual setup and at bottom is a place for channel number. It's from the manual for the 7" VTH series. BTW, I don't own either product.

Thanks Tony for the feedback. Tried this but created a user on the HIKVISION and minimum password length is 8 characters, and on the DAHUA the maximum password length that can be entered is 6 characters. Unless there is some modified firmware for the DAHUA monitor. Or else could the DAHUA monitor allow some form of SSH management to create the IPC?
