Yes, it's old.

Do IP cameras 'break' ? Is there a reliable way to refurb them- if it's like the EMC memory going bad I could try reflowing it.


I went to review some files and it was painfully slow. It also appears not to have written to the NAS anything other than the start of a file video.... so I may need to do some more work on it.

Oh I totally get that- but in terms of everything- there's not really anything to wear out "(unless it's got one of those special intel atom die clocks).

Capture light, make data, send data. Repeat. Not taxing it with additional loads or anything... unlike the fancy AI stuff now that has to run hotter/faster.

In the old day if your CF card got slow you reformatted it for better performance. Don't know if that's a thing or not.... or even how to benchmark that.
