HELP WITH DETECTION

Hi guys,

ive made the choice to pursue the Blue iris route about a year and half ago but never had the oppertunity to fine tune the detection. anyway, heres a snip of a camera feed from last night which shows the intruder enter at around 2 mins into the video and then leave toward the end, the camera and AI obviously didnt alert me based on settings so could anyone assist me in what exactly do i needto fine tune for this to happen? should i rely on motion sensing or objection detect in this respect? the camera is an andowl 3k bullet cam.

forgot to add, im also shifting the deployment of blue iris to a dell t30 server today.

You need a better camera.

Also, with that scene, if I wanted to know if an intruder was present and not wait until morning when I see the alert or check video, I would install some inexpensive perimeter alarm sensors.

It always amazes me when i see all these sophisticated video rules, fancy DIY code hacks and home automation posts on IPCT and yet simple, reliable RIGHT NOW perimeter alarms are 100X more effective. Not kewl enough I suppose...
