Hawk attacked a dove, I think, and hit a window and then dropped the dove, and took off after it. Don't know if the dove got away or not.

I had a Red Tail Hawk eat a dove or a pigeon in the corner of the backyard. I figured when he was through with it and departed I would go out and pick up the remains. There was not a thing left to pick up.

From what I have seen, they take what is left. Not clear if they lighten the load until they can fly or what. We have had about 4 birds taken by the hawk in the back yard. Today we saw two hawks back there.
